Hi, I'm Kim

I'm a photographer based in Kitsap County, Washington. I've been doing this for over 20 years, mostly families, portraits, newborns, and whatever else catches my eye.

It started when my boyfriend (now husband) bought me a Canon Rebel for Christmas when I was 20. I picked it up, and that was it. I saw everything differently after that - light, people, moments. I've been chasing that feeling ever since.

When I'm not shooting, I'm probably drinking too much coffee, chasing my own kids around, or planning some trip we may or may not actually take. I like people who don't take themselves too seriously, and I think the best photos happen when everyone stops trying so hard.

My Philosophy

I want your photos to actually look like your life. Not the Pinterest version - the real one. Your toddler mid-tantrum. The look you give your partner when the kids are finally asleep. The messy kitchen in the background that you'll probably crop out but maybe shouldn't.

I shoot almost exclusively with natural light. Partly because I love how it looks, and partly because hauling around a bunch of equipment isn't my thing. Golden hour is my favorite, but a cloudy day works just as well.

What to Expect

1

Let's Chat

We'll talk about what you're looking for, who's going to be there, and anything I should know. It's low-key, I promise.

2

The Session

Show up, be yourselves. I'll give you direction when you need it and stay out of the way when you don't. Kids melt down? We roll with it.

3

Your Gallery

You'll get your images in 2-3 weeks. They'll be edited and ready to print, post, or stare at while you tear up a little.
